E-waste recycling is the reuse and reprocessing of electrical and electronic equipment of any type that has been discarded or regarded as obsolete. Recycling of e-waste is a growing trend and was initiated to protect human and environmental health mainly due to the widespread environmental pollution impacts of e-waste. E-waste recyclers use processes such as open incineration and acid-leeching. This situation could be improved by creating awareness and improving the infrastructure of recycling units along with the prevalent policies. The majority of the e-waste collected in India is managed by an unorganized sector.
Types of Electronic Waste

Proper or formal recycling of electronic waste usually involves dismantling the electronics, sorting and categorizing the contents by material, and cleaning. The items are then mechanically crushed for further sorting using advanced separation technologies.
As there is no formal e-waste collection system, collection is carried out by informalcollectors. There are thousands of distributors who collect recycled equipment from end users and sell it to service centres or retailers. are considered the 'saviours' of e-waste, achieving high collection rates.
E-Waste management process includes the following:
Recycling e-waste serves many useful purposes. For example, consider protecting human health and the environment by preventing these devices from ending up in landfills. Or recovering parts in equipment that still has value and providing manufacturers with recycled metals that can be used to make new products.
So why is e-waste recycling so important? There are many good reasons to start recycling e-waste today. Recycling is very similar to exercise and eating healthy. Some people are still more committed to achieving these goals than others.
But we know for sure that recycling such as exercise and healthy eating is accepted by most people, at least conceptually. The vast majority of people seem to accept the idea that taking things you no longer need and recycling rather than throwing them into the garbage can benefits the environment and the environment.
